PENALTY
Penalty of 5% is charged on any unpaid portion of the current bill that is not paid on or before the due date.
INTEREST
Simple interest of 0.00027397 per day (10% per year) will accrue on past due balances up to the date payment is received.
HYDRANT FEE
At its August 9, 2011 meeting, the Indiana Township Board of Supervisors unanimously decided that those property owners who benefit directly from having a fire hydrant accessible to their property should be billed a Hydrant Fee for that added fire protection. In the past, these fees had been charged directly to Indiana Township by the four water authorities (Fox Chapel, Hampton-Shaler, Harmar, Oakmont) and were paid from the Indiana Township General Fund. The Township of Indiana asked DCDBA to include this charge on its sewer bill and collect the Hydrant Fee for them. DCDBA's function in this process is to act as the billing agent and collect the fee quarterly for Indiana Township. LATE NOTICE PROCESSING FEE:
By Resolution 2007-01, the Deer Creek Drainage Basin Authority Board approved a $1.00 fee be assessed to all customers accounts requiring written notification by mail as a result of failure to pay their sewer service invoice by the due date.
RETURNED CHECK
Any payment returned by the bank for any reason will incur a fee of $20.00
POSTING FEE
Properties that are posted for water service termination will be charged $20.00
WATER SERVICE RESUMPTION FEES BY WATER SUPPLIER
If your water service was terminated for non-payment of your sewer bill the following fees (subject to change without notice) must be paid to have the service turned back once you have paid your sewer bill:
Hampton Water Authority - $75.00 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. After 2:30 p.m. $145.00
Oakmont Water Authority - It is Oakmont Water Authority's policy that reinstatement of water service will be 24 hours following termination. $75.00 plus the past due amount must be paid by 2:30 p.m. to have the water turned back on the following day. Same Day Resumption Fee is an additional $150.00 paid by 2:30 p.m. Customer must contact Oakmont Water Authority at 412-828-7220 to schedule reinstatement of service. Payment to DCDBA must be received at the Authority office by 2:30 pm the day prior to the scheduled termination.
Fawn Water Authority - $80.00 with no same day turn on.
Fox Chapel Water Authority - $62.00 between 7:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m. $136.00
